Two-Time Olympic Marathon Medalist Yuko Arimori to be Named Director of National Para-Sports Association

Double women's marathon Olympic medalist and longtime executive member of a variety of sports organizations Yuko Arimori, 52, bas been tapped to become head of the Japanese National Para-Sports Association according to comments by an involved party on June 6. The nomination was set to be discussed by the association's executive board later the same day. Arimori's experience with handicapped sports includes chairing the Special Olympics Japan, an organization aimed at those with intellectual disabilities, since 2008.
