2004 Athens Olympics women's marathon gold medalist and marathon national record holder Mizuki Noguchi (Team Sysmex) ran at a half marathon in Lisbon on Sept. 30, finishing 4th in 1:12:20. Having run her first marathon in four years at March's Nagoya Women's Marathon, the 34-year-old Noguchi ran the race as a training run with an eye toward making the team for next year's World Championships in Moscow.
