I don't think there are any 30ish amateurs out there running 2:07.

Personally I think his first half was more impressive than the end result considering the wind and the fact that it was the first half of a marathon which was a planned world record attempt.

Hosaka was on Brett Larnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13416317533206849280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4506887802174553845.post-89988038853385928722009-02-03T14:04:00.000+09:002009-02-03T14:04:00.000+09:00And it looks like he's still got all his teeth! And it looks like he's still got all his teeth!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4506887802174553845.post-50342722606207519122009-02-03T07:54:00.000+09:002009-02-03T07:54:00.000+09:00Sets the bar damn high for those of us who are lo...Sets the bar damn high for those of us who are looking to clean up once we hit 60.An amazing time.Jon in Tokyohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10023386470129571018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4506887802174553845.post-5271335034912692992009-02-03T00:28:00.000+09:002009-02-03T00:28:00.000+09:00Thanks for putting this up. I was going to mention it.
Well, as a 60 year old who is working very hard to get down to 3 hours, and at that range am probably in the top 1% of 60 year olds, I have to say that 2:36 is Freaking incredible. In fact, I would say that the age grade tables are way off. There are "lots" of guys who can run 2:07:35. There is NO other 60 year old who can run 2:36, and TokyoRacerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10293712044402763377noreply@blogger.com
